Who we are
On behalf of The Feral Feline Society I would like to give everyone a warm welcome to our page!
The Feral Feline Society is an established 501(c)3 non-profit alliance and advocacy for stray and feline community cats.
Founded March 18, 2025 in the state of Delaware (Sussex County) by myself Brittany Mabbitt, The Feral Feline Society is a non-kill home based cat rescue dedicated to rescuing stray and feral community cats. We are a foster based rescue for adoptable cats and a sanctuary for feral and stray cats who do not meet house companion criteria.
Our rescue is dedicated to helping alleviate the current crisis of unwanted and abandoned cats in our community. We strive to emphasize and educate the public on the importance of spaying/neutering their cats to help with the continued efforts in controlling the cat population. As well as help community members with food and resources to care for cat colonies that may have taken root on their property.
It is with the utmost respect and compassion for all cats, that The Feral Feline Society promotes a place of lifelong sanctuary to stray and feral cats in need. While assisting those that are candidates for adoption, we respect cats natural instincts and understand lifelong sanctuary may be the best and safest option for many of our feline friends.
Our hope is that through a combination of online donations, adoption fees, merchandise sales, special events, and corporate sponsorship to cover operational costs, including shelter maintenance for our felines in foster/sanctuary, veterinary care which will include spay/neutering, food and marketing.
